1. Features:
SETP-S30 series inverter is a mini inverter, providing power for the camera of Pan&Tilt in the solar or wind & solar power system. As solar or wind & solar power system only can supply DC voltage (DC12V/DC24V) and most Pan&Tilts request AC24V power, this inverter is applied in these systems.
Normally, integrated Pan&Tilt power is about 30W-70W and the standby power is about 10W- 20W (inductive load). But solar power system requires high conversion efficiency (because the inverter efficiency affects the configuration of solar panels), SETP-S30 series inverter can solve this problem specially, and improve the efficiency of system 20%-40%( particularly suitable for 24 hours AC standby power system).
2. Conventional solutions:
First step: DC inverted to AC 220V
When DC12/24 is inverted to AC220V, inverter's conversion efficiency is 89% at full load, standby current is 0.26A(3.12W). At 25W load, the conversion efficiency is only 62%.
Second step: AC220V is transformed to AC24V through transformer
AC220V is transformed to AC24V by the transformer. Please refer to the relation of efficiency and power as below:
Note: At 20W-30W load, the transformer's efficiency is only 80%.
System at 20W-30W load, the overall efficiency: DC12 to AC220(62%)*AC220 to AC24 (80%)=50%
3. Summary:
The inverter loss in a large proportion (1-50%=50%) of the whole system, exceed all the other devices loss, so high efficiency inverter is very important for the whole system.
4. Advanced solution:
To solve the problem of low invert efficiency, we provide a good solution that invert DC12/24 to AC24V directly with efficiency greater than 80% at one-time conversion, and the standby current does not exceed 80mA/12V(less than 1W).
